Dartmoor Wild Camp

April 11th, 2011

On the third annual Dartmoor Wild camp we were once again graced with sun. Our route took us from Meldon Reservoir over yes Tor and then south to Hangingstone Hill. From Hangingstone Hill we looped over to Kennon Hill where we spent the night. On Sunday we headed North and then followed the Dartmoor Way back to the reservior just as the rain kicked in.

All in all it was a relaxed and predominantly sunny affair enjoyed all round. It was also a good chance for members to brush up on their map reading and to learn to travel fast and light.

Thanks to Ollie for his excellent navigation instruction.
