North Wales 5-6th March

March 9th, 2011

At the beginning of March the club travelled up to North Wales for a weekend in the mountains of Snowdonia. Although it was a little cold, the weather held out all weekend allowing climbing and scrambling groups to have fruitful days.

On Saturday the climbers drove south to Tremadog where, despite a couple of route finding errors, a quality day was had by all. A scrambling group summited Tryfan by way of Milestone Gully Approach (Grade 1/2) and Milestone Continuation (Grade 3).

Sunday was crystal clear and we split into three groups; one group completed the Snowdon Horseshoe, Sam and Dan spent the day on Clogwyn y Ddysgl ticking The Parson’s Nose (VD) and Clogwyn y Person Arete (Grade 3) while the rest of us went to Dinas Cromlech in the Llanberis Pass for some classic Welsh multi-pitching.
